We spent a lovely evening at The Pretty in Pink celebration - Promoting Breast Cancer Awareness and celebrating women and their family who have battled breast cancer.
We were with Grandma Barb (a breast cancer survivor) and Auntie Lisa and Aquiliana. Daddy was asked to speak to everyone on the techniques of radiation treatment in breast cancer. He did a great job! I was so impressed and proud of him.
All week he had asked if I was going to design a powerpoint template for him for his presentation. Last night we finally got it finished and he got his haircut. wish all this work could happen during daylight hours, but lately we find ourself crawling into bed about midnight or later. Guess that all goes with the territory of having little ones. Can't get much done while they are awake so you spend their sleeping hours playing catch up. Only to wake up in the morning to their cheery (well rested) voices. It wasn't till after having three kids that I became addicted to 1 to 2 cups of coffee a day.
The kids loved seeing Aquiliana. Marit especially could not wait to show her everything and even take a bubble bath. She told Auntie Lisa that Aquiliana could spend the night and sleep in her princess bed with her. I am sure it won't be long before we will be having cousin sleepovers like I so fondly remember as a girl. Another cute moment was when Haakon, sprawled out on the couch watching a cartoon was interupted by Aquiliana pulling and pushing on him. I asked him what she was trying to tell him and he told me she wants me to get up and play with her and follow her around. I told him he better get up and do that then because that is exactly what the bigger cousins are there to do. Play and entertain the little ones. That was always my role too as a bigger cousin.
This past weekend my (little) cousin Emma came to visit. We so enjoyed her company and was she ever a good help with the kids. It was special and sweet to see one of the "little cousins" I spent time playing with and entertaining was now entertaining and playing with my little ones. Thanks Emma!
I think we hit a record last week. Grant and I had two dates in a row. He got tickets for me to attend the Gopher/Sioux hockey series. Friday night Nana & Papa came and babysat and Saturday night Grandma & Grandpa came to babysit. We felt very spoiled. How fun and what a treat. Thank you!Add a comment:
