Haakon had his 18 month picture taken today. Of course we are a little late considering he is over 19 months old already. We had planned to have his picture taken when we were home atThoughts & Shots but ended up running out of time.
We went to a place called Picture People in the mall. He took a couple happy pictures and after that he was ready to go home.
I wondered what should he wear and when it came down to it. He just had on a pair of jeans. And accessorized with Jelly Cat.
I will post some mini proofs and then scan in bigger ones of the pictures we ordered.

This evening we are going to attend a resident get together at UTMB. All the residents and families are invited to attend. I might be nice to meet other residents and families.

Last weekend we played a lot with the neighbor hood kids that are friends with Haakon. Haakon's buddies Andrew and Justin went with us to the pool and we went on walks a couple times with up to 4 kids (not including our own). Grant had 3 of the boys over Sunday after church to watch a movie. I felt very our numbered with a house full of boys! But I just kept the snacks coming and all was good.

Our house in Roseville is all sold and signed for! YEAH!!!! We are so thankful to have it sold. Auntie Bridget signed for us which was fabulous! We have lots of sweet memories in that little house in Roseville. The house we brought Haakon home to. Hope this new family can make many sweet memories as it is now their home.

3 more molars have just poked through recently!
Haakon likes the extra chewing power!

Friday afternoon we hosted a tea party for the little neighbor girls. 3 of them are moving very soon so we were having a farwell tea. Haakon unfortunetly went down for his nap late and missed the tea party and delayed the preperations, BUT he still got to play with the girls afterwards.
We served cake, tea, chocolate candy, and punch.
It was darling to see them come to the door all dressed up and with their hair in place and pretty shoes. Most of the time they show up without shoes. They did leave in a hurry and 3 of the 5 girls forgot their shoes at our house. :)
Saturday was neighbor Andrew's birthday party. Haakon was the youngest in attendance but he did his best to fit in with the big kids ranging from 5 to 9 years old. They had pools and a slip n slide in the back yard. It turned a bit muddy with all the water. Haakon and I were both so dirty but Haakon had a blast! He loved sitting up at the picnic table eating pizza, cake, & ice cream like the other kids. He even chimed in and sang happy birthday. It was too cute. He just loves Andrew!
Sunday after church we ventured to Galveston Beach. We enjoyed the warm waters and playing in the sand. Haakon loves the water. He prefers not to taste this water though. Too salty!

Praise the Lord we are selling our house in Roseville. FINALLY!
Someone actually wants to buy it. Lucky them, they get to pay less for it then what we bought it for.
The market is horrible so it is nice just to be rid of it, even if we have to take out another loan just to sell it. At least it is smaller payments then a whole mortgage right?!!
Haakon's very first house is now going to someone else. I am sure he will have no memories of it. But we have lots of pictures of him in it.

We are back in Texas. It sure was nice to be home in Minnesota for a while and visit family and a few friends.
It went way too fast!!! It was the highlight of our summer and we soaked up and enjoyed every minute of it.
Grant flew back before us and Haakon and I flew in yesterday. I told Haakon this will probably be the last time just the 2 of us fly somewhere together for a long time. Thankfully he slept the whole first leg of the trip. Then we had to switch planes in Atlanta and he was wide awake and ready to go. But! to our delight we got to sit next to a mom with an 18 month old boy too! It was perfect! Praise the Lord. They were wild crazy but good little boys for being trapped to 3 airplane seats for 2 hours.

If you asked Haakon his favorite parts of our travels to Minnesota... here are a few he might tell you about!
    -Riding the lawn mower
-Playing with all his little cousins at Robin & Karl's wedding and at Great-Uncle Mike's lake home.
-Swimming in the lake and dumping sand off the dock.
    -Picking raspberries
    -Learning new words
-Eating all sorts of nummy food
-Helping Grandpa Steve build his shed
-playing will his little friends and cousins througout our stay
-Learning to drink from a water fountain
    -playing on swing sets
-Being chased through Target and giggling uncontrolably the whole time
-Showing off for the admiring family members and getting great laughs in return
-driving the golf cart while golfing with Daddy & Uncle Drew
-pretending to drive the UPS truck

We could go on and on! Each day was filled with lots of fun times and excitement. We have a summer of memories already under our belt.

Haakon finally has a new tooth. This is his 7th tooth. It has been awhile since a new tooth has poked through.

Haakon's baby sister is growing daily as can be seen by Mommy's huge belly! I look more like 7 months prego then 5. She is kicking constantly. We are so excited to meet her. Haakon is often talking about the baby. He likes to hug and kiss my belly and now and then pounce on it too.

Haakon's dream toys he wish he could play with daily are:
    Screwdrivers
    Razors
    Tooth brushes
    Electric Drills
    Phones

Perhaps when he turns 2 we can get him his own electric drill. It would probably thrill him beyond belief.
