Baby news... yesterday we got to hear the baby's heartbeat and in 5 weeks we will be having the big ultrasound to look the baby over head to toe and perhaps we will find out if Haakon is going to have a brother or a sister.

This past weekend we spent in Austin at Aunt Claire and Uncle David Seeger's home. Grant attended a conference and even gave a presentation. Haakon had a fabulous time helping Claire and Dave rearrange their furniture and decide which pretty things were just too pretty for Haakon to touch. He also tried so hard to make friends with Chloe the Kitty but she knew better that Haakon has not fully been trained in the art of petting the kitty and stayed clear of Haakon. We played at the park and he loved the tread mill. Claire and Dave were so sweet to babysit Saturday night while Mommy and Daddy went on a dinner cruise with lots of other docs and spouses. Haakon sure had fun with Claire and Dave and all the exciting toys and activities they planned. He sure thinks Claire is a fabulous cook. And loves to eat off of Uncle Dave's plate. Yummy Chicken!
We also discovered he has not forgotten about his trips with Grandma and Grandpa to go get doughnuts and coffee in the morning. He is so crazy about doughnuts. He just loves them. Now if only he felt that way about green beans!

We all had a fun trip to Orlando. It was very relaxing. We spent lots of time playing in the pools. Haakon got to go on lots of morning stroller rides and doughnut/bagel runs with Grandma and Grandpa. He also got a taste for coffee.

We took in a couple dinner theater shows with the Pirate show being Haakon's favorite. He was mesmorized.

Easter was very nice with just the 3 of us. Haakon looked so adorable at church in his Easter suit that Auntie Sarah sent him. After church we had a lunch and took a long afternoon nap. After Haakon woke us up we played outside and he picked up the Easter eggs. He thought that was great fun. For dessert we had cheesecake and later went for a walk upon Haakon's request. Unfortunetly he was stung by a hornet. Thankfully the only reaction he had was a bit of swelling at the point of stinging and tenderness. He was a very brave little boy!

Yesterday Haakon was VERY EXCITED to see his friends Ryan and Jack. WE found out we have to work on the difference between hugging and tackling. Just because Ryan brought his football over gives Haakon no right to tackle Ryan with a hug. Once outside he seemed to settle down a bit and the boys had fun playing.

Haakon has added a couple more words to his vocabulary. Eye and ball.
