Yesterday was our first Doctor's visit for Haakon's little sibling. Everything went well. We are probably not as far along as we originally thought. They moved the due date to November 5th after measuring the baby on the ultrasound. It was fun to see the sweet little baby wiggle around and watch his or her heart beating away. We just pray that he or she continues to grow healthy and strong and happy!
Haakon did pretty good in the Doctor's office. I know it got to be a little boring after awhile but he had away of charming everyone he met.
Haakon was sick over the weekend with a flu bug but seems to be on the mend today.Comments:Add a comment:

UTMB daycare called us and Haakon finally has a spot available for him. We originally had hoped to get Haakon in the newly built daycare right here at UTMB. We were blessed to have met Monica who takes care of Haakon and 4 to 5 other kids in her home. Now that we have the opportunity to move Haakon into UTMB we are doubtful as to whether it is the right thing to do. He loves Monica and all his little friends at daycare. His spot at Monica's was only going to be temporary because she had someone for that spot who has not claimed it yet. So now we will wait and hear from Monica. If she can keep him he will stay and if she can't Haakon will be coming to UTMB with us.
As of late Haakon has been a busy talkative boy. He loves to jabber jabber jabber. So far not too many real words come out of the jabbering but he is definetly a talker. We just hope he learns our language before we learn his.
We are getting excited for next weekend and our trip to Floridia to visit Grandma & Grandpa Seeger. Haakon has his swim trunks ready and his very important sunblock.
Haakon loves to be outside. If he had his way we would spend the whole day outside. He loves to keep watch out for the friendly orange cat named Fanc who at times allows Haakon to get close enough to pet (grab his fur) him. It thrills him to bits! He loves to imitate the dogs in the neighborhood when they bark too. He recently has been paying close attention to the many birds that fly by or land in the trees.
We taught him about "HOT" and we blew to signal the meaning. He now does that too but he has taken it a step further and he blews at anything he should not touch. (like the fire ants) too cute!
He loves being Daddy's little helper outside and has taken a real interest in weeding and watering the plants. The other day they came in and Haakon was soaked! He decided he needed a little watering too so he could grow.
Yesterday morning Haakon figured out how to remove his diaper. He did it not once but twice. We finally had to get some pants on him before he tried it again. We told him if he thinks he can run around without a diaper then he needs to learn to use the big potty. (or a little one) It would be such a miracle if he could possibly be potty trained before the "little pumpkin" arrives.
Thank you for the sweet messages you have left us on Haakon's guestbook. You are all so thoughtful! Thank you! blessings... the SeegersComments:Add a comment:

As many of you have already guessed... Yes, Haakon's new role he is preparing for is the role of a BIG BROTHER!
Haakon's new little brother or sister should be arriving around the first week of Novemeber. We pray he or she is happy and healthy! We are so excited that the Lord has blessed this with this new life and gift. We are so thankful and just pray the Lord will give us all the wisdom, strength and energy we will need to raise these two precious children.
Thank you to those who have already showered us with words of congratulations. Please keep this new little baby in your prayers!Comments:Add a comment:

Hope you all enjoy these cute new pictures of Haakon holding my baby doll Victoria. Doesn't he look like he is being so sweet and gentle to the baby?

Tueday after work we decided to catch the last of many Mardi Gras parades that Galveston has during their 2 week celebration of Mardi Gras.
Haakon loved the parade! He was amazed by all the colorful floats, Horses, and kids playing in the bands. (we think the drums were his favorite). Haakon is what his daddy coined him as a "bead magnet". He had many a string of beads thrown to him from the passing by floats. Even people around us would give the beads to Haakon. I think we counted about 77 strands of beads. We will have to post pictures soon.
You can about imagine the strings of beads scattered all over the living room and kitchen. Every now and then we see Haakon with a different strand or two around his neck.
This weekend I think we will be going shoe shopping. Haakon's feet are growing. Has anyone invented yet a "grow with you shoe". It could prove to be very useful. Haakon has played long and hard in his cute little brown Stride Rites but they still look in really good shape. Perhaps he will be able to pass them on to his little brother.Comments:Add a comment:
