We hope Great-Grandma Moe has a fabulous birthday today and tomorrow!
We had a fun weekend. Lots of company on Saturday for lunch. We had a resident lunch. Nikhil and his lovely girlfriend Angela came. The Gunn family came with their darling girls Emma & Scarlet. Haakon was amazed by them. He missed their company once they had to go home. We had a fabulous time. I hope we can get together again soon.
Yesterday was so gorgeous and we spent most of the day playing outside with Ryan, Barbara, and little Jack. It is so fun to see the boys run around and play and explore and discover new things. It is never ending all that excites and amazes these little boys.Comments:Add a comment:

Saturday morning we ventured up to Houston to meet the Cavey's at Gymboree Play & Music class. Haakon was so excited when we arrived and he saw all these new and interesting objects with bright pretty colors that he could climb all over. He heve did a little jig and spun in a circle over the anticipation of being let through the gate into the play area.
There were about 10 other little once between the ages of 10 and 16 months. Haakon was definetly one of the bigger ones there. He seemed to really enjoy the play time, but 2/3 of the way through he had enough and just wanted Grant to hold him. He got fed up after the sweet young lady leading the play time jingled a tamberine in his face while he was pushing a large cylinder along with the other kids across the room.
He enjoyed the bubble blowing but when it came time for the parachute... Grant set him down next to sweet Elizabeth and he (according to Daddy who saw the whole thing happen) swung and hit Elizabeth who landed flat on her back stunned. She proceeded to cry, which she rightly should since she has probably never been hit at in her 15 months. That Haakon!!!!! We know eventually he will learn to not lash out if he is upset. But oh did we feel so bad for Elizabeth. One very important thing that Haakon has taught me is to never judge someone's parenting skills upon little observation of their toddlers. It is definetly both parts Nature and Nurture. A good part is nature. He really is sweet and can be so loving, just wish he would show this side to Elizabeth. She may never want to play with him again after how he treated her.Comments:Add a comment:

Valentine's Day was fun! We woke up late... we think that it was little hands that turned the alarm off. But we are not pointing fingers. We still made it to work on time but there was no fancy breakfast.
For supper though we dined on sparkling apple juice, chocolate sandwiches, and chocolate dipped strawberries! So yummy!
Valentine's Day sure brought out lots of affection in Haakon. He unfortunetly hugged and kissed (using his teeth) little Noah. Poor Noah getting bit by Haakon the Horrible. We are really try hard to work on "gentle hands", and "NO biting", "no banging". He is just a little bull in the china cupboard these days. He does not always try to be rough and mean. He just does not know his own strength. Untill he does learn these important elements he is known as the bully at Daycare. He even steals the kids lunches if they give him a chance! Uff da!
Other news! Haakon has sprouted his fifth toother and his sixth is almost through.
He is really enjoying books more and loves music. He loves playing outside the best and getting as dirty as can be. Thankfully he likes his baths just as much.Comments:Add a comment:
