Haakon's first big trip started on the 19th. He has been such a good little traveler. Currently we are at Great Grandpa & Grandma Seeger near West Palm Beach in Florida.
Today we went to the beach and Haakon got to put his feet in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time. He quite enjoyed it. We even saw a fin of a shark off in the distance. Not to worry we still have all our toes.
    Some of Haakon's adventures include:
Meeting Cousin Beau and Kelsey & Tim
Meeting Great Grandpa and Grandma Seeger
    Visiting the Lundeen's in Joilet
Swimming in the pool at Liki Tiki
    Universal Studios

When we get home on the 5th we will fill everyone in on all his new things. Haakon is growing so fast and smiling and laughing and growing out of 3 to 6 month clothing.
He is trying to talk more and loves talking steps in the ocean while holding Mommy and Daddy's hands.

This past week and weekend were busy and oh so fun! We were blessed to have lots of company to see us.
Grandpa (Farmor) and Grandma (Mormor) Stortroen, and Auntie Sarah came to see us on Saturday. We did some shopping with Auntie Bridget and Mormor got a very cool Thomas The Train set for Haakon to play with when he comes to visit. In the meantime the daycare children enjoy it.
Sunday we had a brunch after church and Great-Grandpa & Grandma Ranum, Mike, Mary, & Ruth, Laura & Maddie, Bridget, Sarah, & Hubert, and Farmor and Mormor came. We had lots of yummy food and Haakon had so much fun going from one lap to another visiting with everyone. Maddie and Laura brought him a big Mickey Mouse from their trip to Floridia. Haakon is even more excited now to go to Floridia to see where this big Mickey Mouse came from.
Monday Auntie Sarah and Haakon and I went shopping at IKEA & MOA. He sure was tuckered out. Slept through most of it. Monday night Auntie Lisa & Laynie came to stay with us. We had fun and made a big breakfast the next morning after Sarah arrived. Tuesday afternoon Sarah, Bridget, Maddie, and Haakon and I ventured off to Southdale and the Galleria. Sarah is having her spring break and we spent it scouting out the latest in spring fashion and getting inspired for designs. Sarah and Bridget had designed a line of summer tops.
Wednesday we had to say good bye to Sarah. Haakon was sad to see all the company go. It was his 3 month birthday so we cheered him up with a little present (Henry the green train) and had supper with Bridget and Ryan.
Today daddy is home and Haakon is so happy. He had a fun swin in the tub with Daddy and now they are taking naps. Tomorrow will be fun going to hear Uncle Drew's concert at North Branch and having him and Auntie Laynie over that evening. Grandpa and Grandma Seeger and Diego are coming that Friday night and we leave Saturday morning for our big trip. We are starting to pack and wash clothes. We started by putting in all the burp cloths and realized we did not have room for anything else. Guess we will have to limit the burp cloths and hopefully Haakon can get better at keeping his milk down.
We are so happy to have discovered that Target diapers work great and are much cheaper then the leading brands. He had not leaked once in 42 diapers. Hurrah!!!

Haakon is so adorable! Last night Grant went to change Haakon's diaper and afterwards proceeded to the bathroom to wash his hands. Haakon was in tote and he set him on the counter and balanced him there while he washed his hands. Meanwhile, Haakon was getting a good look at everything while looking in the mirror. Something must have tickled his funny bone cause be just burst out laughing. Now at this point he smile lots and giggles too but this is the first time he laughed out loud. Grant quickly urged me to come see what was happening. Haakon again laughed for me. We all stood in front of the bathroom mirror and laughed. Oh what a happy sight that was!

We have a Infant Car Seat that has a cozy pillow in it that I often set Haakon in while we are busy around the kitchen. This morning Grant put Haakon in his seat next to him while he ate his breakfast and I packed his lunch. Haakon loves to talk to us from there and play with his hanging toy. But this morning he decided he did not wish to sit in the seat but perfered Daddy's lap instead. So he wiggled himself out of the seat to the floor. We just stood there in amazement at him while he did this trick not once but twice. We praised and kissed him and told him what a big strong smart boy he was. Now of course there is no sure thing that he will ever stay in his seat for long. :)

Haakon is just too much fun! Can't believe how much he has grown!
Last weekend we went up North with Auntie Bridget, and Shana. We got to stay with Grandpa and Grandma Stortroen and Auntie Sarah. Haakon had a great time.
Dear friends from high school gave a shower for Haakon. We had so much fun and he got so many beautiful gifts. Haakon got to meet Alex Cotton and Karl and Jorgen Swenson. Such cute fun boys. I know he can't wait till he is big enough to run around and play with them too.

Haakon is starting to be interested and play with toys. It is so much fun to interact with him.
We also found out that he loves Hockey. He watched the high school play offs and just could not stop watching the TV with these boys skating across the ice.

Friday Haakon got to meet George Parker Widman V. They are still a little young to really play but I think they thought each other to be quite iteresting. Haakon loves to see little people like him.

Yesterday Grandpa and Grandma Seeger came to visit and took us all out for supper. It is always special when he gets to see his grandparents. We had a lot of fun and Haakon was quite talkative. We are anticipating our trip down south for Easter with them.

Well, he is awake from his nap so Mom better run and get him. He hates to wake up and see no one there.
